Capri: luxury shopping and spectacular view

DOBEDOO –¬†Capri is one of the three islands, with Procida and Ischia, in the Gulf of Naples, and it is located in front of the Sorrento peninsula. The coastline is indented with numerous caves and coves that alternate with steep cliffs. The most famous is undoubtedly the Grotta Azzurra, where magical light effects were described by many writers and poets.

On the island, in Marina Grande, it is possible to buy a ticket for the island tour by sea with a stop at the Grotta Azzurra. In this way it will be possible to admire the famous Faraglioni.

By bus and chair lift it is possible to reach Monte Solaro, to admire a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples and Salerno. Other obligatory stops for tourists are the Piazzetta and Via Camerelle, the luxury shopping street with a very high concentration of high fashion shops.

Walking instead for Via Tragara you get to the spectacular lookout overlooking the Faraglioni with the path of the Pizzolungo. Other points of interest are Villa Lysis, Villa San Michele, La Certosa di San Giacomo and the Gardens of Augustus and Via Krupp.

To get to Capri from Naples you can start from Molo Beverello or from Calata Porta di Massa. Depending on the needs and economic possibilities you can choose between ferry, hydrofoil and fast ship. Alternatively, there are the routes to / from the Amalfi Coast, Salerno and Ischia, which are generally active from mid-April until the end of October.

Times change between summer and winter: the summer timetable with much more frequent runs, usually comes into effect after Easter until the first days of November. Sometimes times are modified during the same season so it is advisable to check the timetable a few days before departure.
