Mid-August at Capodimonte Museum 15/08
DOBEDOO – For the extraordinary opening of the museums in mid-August, take a dip in art at Capodimonte, a guided tour through the collections of the main floor of the Royal Palace.
With the extraordinary opening of the museums, even August holidays become a special day to spend in the summer residence of King Charles of Bourbon located on the hill overlooking the whole city with its panoramic view. A place of beauty and tranquility just a few kilometers from the bustle of the city and a destination chosen by travelers on the Grand Tour.
The experts of the museum’s educational section will show you the works of the great artists collected by the Farnese family, from the portraits of Titian to the cartoons of Michelangelo and Raphael, from the fascinating Antea of Parmigianino to the scenes of the Carracci court.
In the rooms of the Royal Apartment you can admire the Salone delle feste that hosted official ceremonies and receptions of the court and the Salottino entirely made of Capodimonte porcelain, a gift of Charles of Bourbon to his wife.
